Portland Ordinary Cement

Portland Ordinary Cement Portland cement is the most common type of cement in general use around the world, as it is a basic ingredient of concrete, mortar, stucco and most non-specialty grout. It is a fine powder produced by grinding Portland cement clinker (more than 90%), a limited amount of calcium sulfate (gypsum CaSO4.2H2O), which controls the set time, and up to 5% minor constituents (as allowed by various standards). This type is produced by pulverizing clinker consisting essentially of hydraulic calcium silicate and containing one or more forms of calcium sulphate as an inter ground addition. Application: The product has been designed to give enhanced concrete properties in the fresh "wet" state with adequate high early strength levels upon setting and hardening. Storage: Cement will not deteriorate significantly if it is protected from exposure to moisture (humid air, rain condensation, etc). If cement is allowed to absorb moisture, its setting time is increased and loss of strength will occur. Packing: Cement packed as Bulk Cement or Bagged Cement. We provide cement in two forms:
a. Ordinary Paper Sacks of weight 50 kg plus or minus 2%
b. Sealed Packing useful for exporting by ships
